NORRIS WAS NOT A LEGENDARY CHARACTER

Legends are made up of half truths.  Hearsay opinions are irrelevant in a court of law.  Half of what the public has heard of J Frank Norris is pure hearsay.

            1.  Hearsay has labeled him as a “Shooting Salvationist”
(a).  He was neither a Salvationist nor a Shooter

            2.  Hearsay says he “murdered an innocent man”
(a).  The jury says he was “not guilty of murder”

            3.  Hearsay says he was a “rabble rouser”
(a).  “Rabble” definition: The lowest or coarsest class of people
(b).  His church attraced all classes of people, including:
                                    1.  Brooks Morris ... Director of the Fort Worth Symphony
                                                Orchestra.  He was NOT low-class.
                                    2.  Miss Bob Wood Edmonson ... Editor of English textbooks
used in the State of Texas….she was no rabble.
                                    3.  John Birch (The John  Birch Society) ... the first casualty
of World War II…..killed in China.  He was top of his
                                                class of Mercer University.
                                    4.  J. C. Penney….was not a member, but attended frequently.
He was a gentleman of the first order….and no rabble.

(In time, I could list thousands of others.)

            4.  Hearsay has it that he was a racist.
                        (a)  Barry Hankins “author of God’s Rascal” said he was no more racist
                                    than others of his time.
                        (b)  Time Magazine quotes, “Norris said I have no brief for the Klan”.

            5.  Most of the hearsay rumors originated from former associates.
                        (a)  Their credibility is weakened by virtue of delayed reaction.

Roy Falls and daughter singing When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder

This old hymn was one of the favorites of Mordecai Ham, under whose ministry Billy Graham was converted.

Roy Falls and daughter singing old hymn Love Divine

The lyrics of the old hymn Love Divine were written by Charles Wesley

Norris' running feud with the Southern Baptists. Many nice things said about Hitler

The following letter is evidence which supports there was no ambivalence on the part of J Frank Norris, concerning his support for the Jewish cause.

A Vulnerability Seed

When people allow themselves to become vulnerable .... their world starts to open up and a blossom of possibilities emerges.....real friendship for instance....so plant a little vulnerability seed and watch yourself grow...through the wide-opened eyes of others.

Gail Hawkins

(In memory of my mother, Eula Falls, who was vulnerable and pure....and a painter of roses.)

Israel's Faith, Fate & Future

Mr. Masters...the greatest soul winner that ever walked the streets of Fort Worth

Mr. Masters, (at arrow on the right, 3rd row, with his right hand on knee) was the most dedicated Christian I have ever known.  No exceptions.  I knew him at the First Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Tx.  He was employed by the city of Fort Worth as a street sweeper.  This was a segment of a Wednesday night service in 1945.

I knew Mr. Masters well ... we walked home together after services many times, instead of riding the bus.
He had the purest mind of anyone I ever knew. Nothing but angelic talk.

Isaiah 54:17

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

J Frank Norris' favorite bible verse.

These two photos are pictures of the Baptist Tabernacle, also known as the Ramseur Baptist Church in Paris, Texas.

This location was the last place in which J. Frank Norris and John R. Rice appeared in public together. The split was aired before a packed house in 1936.

I was there and was an eye-witness to the bitter exchanges, and on a later video will reveal the real inside story. (see video now up)
